Location:

Water Caye is a pristine 450+ Acre island located approximately 10 miles Southeast of Belize City, Belize and approximately ½ mile inside of Belize's Barrier Reef.

Coral Sands Beach Resort is a picturesque Caribbean getaway stretched out 20 acres of lush, undisturbed island beauty on Water Caye. The resort consists of a thatched open-air bar and pavilion which sits on a 1000-ft beach facing the barrier reef.

Lining the pristine shore are 40 thatch cabana style huts, including beach chairs and tables with drink service availability. Bathroom facilities are available a short distance from everywhere and are fully equipped and well maintained. There is a kitchen and food preparation area and our Guest Service center is easily visible and accessible upon arrival. For the safety and convenience of guests there is also a First Aid Station and Gift Shop on the property. Seating areas with chairs and hammocks are scattered throughout the resort.

All resort staff are CPR trained and well equipped to handle the needs of even the most demanding guests, while at the same time are knowledgeable of the area and its history. The island is home to a variety of plants, animals and marine life, including dolphins, manatees, manta rays and sea turtles. Restriction on development of Water Caye (over two-thirds of the island is designated as either nature reserve or open-space) will furthermore ensure that the island remains unspoiled for future generations, human or otherwise.
